Sarah Thursby is Curriculum Manager for Music and Performing Arts at Northampton College and a member of the R&D People & Creative Council. With over 30 years in creative education, she is committed to supporting young people across Northampton to access inclusive, high-quality opportunities in further and higher education.

Sarah leads a diverse department of nearly 400 students and 28 staff, fostering creativity, confidence, and ambition. Her work champions community-focused, industry-informed programmes and strong partnerships with schools, cultural organisations, employers, and NEET learners, with a particular passion for widening participation and embedding equity, diversity and inclusion.
