Elli Brazzill is a music curator and campaigner. She is the co-founder of Art Not Evidence, a campaign working to stop the misuse of rap music as evidence in criminal trials. Since launching in November 2023, the campaign has been featured on Channel 4 News, received public support from artists including Giggs, Annie Mac, and IDLES, hosted multiple events, and appeared in prominent publications such as The Times, NME, Rolling Stone, and DAZED. Recently, Art Not Evidence has also been engaged in law reform work through the House of Lords.
Elli previously worked in the music industry as a playlist curator at Napster and Warner Music in London. Now based in her hometown, she is studying for a Master’s degree in Sociology at the University of Manchester, where she is furthering her research into the criminalisation of rap.
